I find when using any experience builder I create for our end users that when I select a feature either via clicking or using the map's selection tools, when I refresh the page that selection persists.

Is there a way to get layer selections to clear when you refresh the page?

Hi @CameronLacelle,

You could toggle off the Data selection in General -> Manage URL status -> Data select, then after refreshing the app, the selection could be cleared.

Hello, I am having the same issue but turning off this setting is not resolving it. The selection persists through to the other pages. Is this an error or should I be configuring something else at the same time? Many thanks

Hi @HDolley,

Have you cleared the selection? If yes, could you share the app for us to have a look?

Thanks,

Ke

Hi Ke, sorry for the delay.

I can share the demo app here: removed

The home page is for browsing only, hence why all the fields are locked. If I select here, then move through to the next page 'Submit new point' I have the edit widget in a widget controller. If I open this then it automatically opens the form for the selected point - this is not the desired outcome.

I have used the url parameter setting like so:

Many thanks,

Hannah

EDIT: removed the link. Worked out a way round - you can add multiple instances of the same web map (and rename in web experience builder so it is clear what is the intended use of each) and then link the different page widgets to the instances. Has done the job 🙂
