I have an Experience Builder app that has text box indicators on the side that count the number of active features in a map layer. I recently reorganized my map layers, so I had to reconnect my text widgets to the data so they can count the features. The past two days, from different networks, the process has been SO SLOW. Every click to connect to the data, open the drop down to select the data view I want, choose the options in the dynamic content tool..and then the fields won't even load for me to choose which to count. Any ideas? Usually this is a very easy process and it's been taking me HOURS.
Granted this is part of a very large app with many tabs and maps, but it's never loaded this slowly before. I am using it on Microsoft Edge for login reasons.
It looks good on my side. Clicking on other widgets and connecting to the data, is that slow too?
Thanks,
Ke
The problem seems to be in Selecting the data to connect, and then modifying the view of the data selected, then getting that data to be accessible in the widget to add dynamic content. It's only being slow in this one large app I'm building, not in my other smaller apps with fewer maps and data.
Could you send us a copy of the app so we can troubleshoot it? My username is ke13810. Or you can contact the Support team to help reproduce your issue.
Thanks,
Ke
It feels like once you start stacking multiple maps, views, and dynamic connections, the editor just struggles to keep up, even on fast networks and decent machines. Thanks for describing your experience so clearly — it’s reassuring to know it’s not just me! Hopefully Esri is looking into some performance optimizations for larger apps
@SarahMikkelsenMDEM @SteveMarkovick @Ke_Xu i have very slow performance with Experience Builder in general as well. Map and data takes forever to load. Running only a handful of layers. It ran perfectly fine in WAB but not in Experience Builder. Exact same web map.
