When selecting multiple features in a map in ArcGIS Experience Builder, the coded values are displayed, not the display values. This should be the displayed features as default for human readability. Even better, would be the ability to customise this.
This has been raised here but thought I would submit as an idea - (thank you Gurunara for putting this on Esri's radar). Solved: Display Label for Multiple Feature Selections in t... - Esri Community
This will be addressed with the June release of ArcGIS Online. The feature title displayed in the Edit widget will come from the popup Title you configured for the layer in Map Viewer, so you'll be able to change it there. This should also support expressions!
When I needed to label multiple selected features in ArcGIS, I used a definition query combined with a label class based on a specific attribute. If you’re working with a selection set, converting it to a layer and setting label expressions there works well. Just make sure label visibility is turned on and scale ranges are set appropriately for your map extent.
Thanks, functionality works!
This no longer works as per the last update, can you check?
@JosephHilliard94 Apologies, it looks that there are some limitations that remain around this. The feature titles will display as expected when batch editing is enabled in your Edit widget configuration, for the Geometry & Attributes mode only. You can see an example below, where "ID: #" is displayed in case 4.
In the upcoming update, most cases will be resolved except for case 3, where multiple features are selected but batch editing is not enabled.
@AlixVezina thanks for the update! We definitely don't want batch editing enabled so will wait for fix
