When creating a new app in EB, provide the option to allow EB to walk us through the selection of the best template(s) based on a series of questions about the purpose of the app. Not having to start from scratch each time (thanks Esri!) is terrific. However, the current number of templates makes it challenging to remain aware of all of the available options. I expect that the number of templates is only growing to grow. As such, allowing a person to answer a few questions and have EB suggest the best 1 or two templates as part of the configuration would be a great help.
