Hi,
I was really excited to see that the ability to filter multiple layers at once through a grouped filter had been added to the filter widget in Experience builder. However on trying to set this up it unfortunately doesn't seem to work quite as needed.
I have several layers that all contain a 'Site name' field that uses a matching domain list. I was hoping to set up a filter for 'Site name' therefore enabling a user to select a site from the dropdown and all layers be filtered.
However, after setting one of my layers as the 'main field' and assigning the corresponding fields to the other layers, I then under the operator and values selected 'is unique', and 'ask for user input'. Doing this however then only showed the domain values in the filter drop down that had been used within the data for my main layer not the whole list of domain values that could of been used across the different layers. Not therefore giving me what I need, as it maybe that different layers contain data for different sites.
It would be good if there was a way to set the filter to use all the main field domain list values, rather than just the ones that have been used within the data.
I did see you can pre-define the values, but this would mean that if the domain list gets updated for the layer (e.g. a new site is added) the filter widget would also have to be separately updated to keep it in sync which wouldn't be ideal.
Many thanks
That's a good point and a definite easy-to-miss pitfall. Thanks for the idea!
