Our team is currently working on configuring an application that recreates figures initially published in a print report in a way that allows users to dynamically interact with the data. We often use Experience Builder's Chart widget to display tabular data. A key feature of this intractability is being able to hover over value points on a series and determine what the exact value is.
Unfortunately, Experience Builder currently depends on a user hovering over a symbolized value point to trigger this pop-up to toggle on. When value points are turned off, it is currently not possible to toggle on these pop-ups by hovering over where a point would be on the graph. This is problematic, as we do not always want to display value points on a line graph.
This functionality is currently available in Dashboards, where a tolerance area around where a data point would be appears to trigger the pop-up to toggle on when hovered over, not the value point symbol itself. It is possible to make the value points the same width of the line, but, due to the small size of the symbol, this makes it very difficult for the user to trigger the pop-up to toggle on. It would also be possible to make the value point transparent, but this workaround is inconvenient and renders the value points toggle functionally useless.
I would like Experience Builder's Chart widget to trigger the pop-up to toggle on regardless of whether or not a value point is present.
