Currently, our web apps allow external users to view and download snapshots of our data using the "Export to CSV" option within the attribute table header. As we transition from Web App Builder to Experience Builder, we have identified a gap: Experience Builder currently lacks a download option or widget.

We propose adding the ability to download spatial data directly within an Experience Builder app. This feature could be implemented via a download widget, a linked button, or export options that can be placed anywhere within the app, preferably in the header alongside the layers and legend widgets. This functionality should enable users to download either the entire dataset or a filtered subset in various formats, including .shp, .CSV, .GeoJSON, and .KML, with a preference for downloading as a Feature Class.

This enhancement would greatly improve user experience by providing flexible and accessible data download options.

Cheers!

just to add - we have some apps that are specifically designed to aid users to find, filter and download data as easily as possible. The current exp builder attribute table widget allows users to download as csv but will retain the data's field aliases, which is very useful. Other methods of downloading csv (e.g. via hub) will lose the field aliases which is unhelpful. So the table download function is very useful, but unfortunately very hidden and not easy to find. To enable us to create a button that can be prominently displayed in the app but has the same functionality as the table download button would be really useful.
