Using the select tool in Experience Builder selects all layers on the map. Please add the capability to choose which layers are selectable, so unnecessary layers aren't selected by accident. Right now, I would just like the ability to select parcels on my map, but not select the county boundary layer because this makes it look like the entire map is selected/highlighted.

I agree strongly with this idea! Without the ability to specify which layers you want the selection, for my purposes it makes the Select functionality in the map almost unusable, and more customization would be extremely helpful.

Strongly agree, surprised a select widget was implemented without the ability to choose which layers are selectable.  This is a big disincentive for implementing many potential user experiences here.

I brought this issue up with ESRI support several months ago and it was officially logged as an enhancement. The more people complain to support, the faster they may build it.

The workaround is to make the layers you don't want selectable into vector tiles. It works and there's a performance advantage over dynamic. Some cons are that legends don't support vector tiles and they are harder to update. It would surely be better to have a toggle in the select widget or a setting at the web map level.

Is this still a limitation? Because if so, it feels high time to incorporate that autonomy! If I had been working on this map a couple weeks ago I would have gone to ask someone at the UC last week. I need to be able to select individual utility lines but yep - the entire jurisdictions also get highlighted which might be very confusing to a user.
