Because the operating system needs to be upgraded, a new VM is currently being built. Then my new VM needs to reinstall ArcGIS Server.

I would like to ask if it is possible to copy all published services from the old VM to the new VM to reduce the migration time.

Has your organization tried in place upgrades of servers?  If you try this hopefully you at least have a development environment to try it first.

The reason why the server is not directly upgraded is that the old and new hardware are located in different locations, and due to operating system licensing reasons, only new VMs can be created for migration processing.

Hi @Wade,

You can use the export site function in ArcGIS Server to do this:

https://developers.arcgis.com/rest/enterprise-administration/server/exportsite.htm

https://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/server/latest/administer/windows/back-up-and-restore-your-arcgis-se...

Keep in mind what's not included and use WebGISDr if you're migrating a Enterprise solution. Before importing this to your new VM/Server installation - I would suggest you register the data locations first to ensure your Server is properly communicating with the data sources.

Thanks,

A
