SQL SERVER 2025 COMPATABILITY?

Hello!  We need to upgrade our SQL Server from 2016 to a newer version on our SDE Server.  Our Senior IT staff wants to upgrade to SQL Server 2025 but I cannot find any documentation that this version is supported.  Does anyone know if it is?  I found SQL Server 2022 but our IT staff said that this was old and behind the times so they prefer not to upgrade to it unless they have to.  Any info you can share is most appreciated!  Our enterprise is at 10.9.1.  After upgrading the SQL Server, we plan to upgrade to Enterprise 11.5.  Thanks again!

Since you're using Enterprise 10.9.1, I don't believe that it would support SQL Server 2022 or 2025 according to this here: https://support.esri.com/en-us/knowledge-base/is-my-sql-server-database-version-supported-by-arcgis-...

This was as of April of this year, I do agree that there is no documentation yet on 2025, but I would first upgrade your enterprise to 11.2 and then SQL Server to 2022 as it's supported, then finally a step upgrade to 11.5.

I would personally reach out to Esri support to see if they can walk you through this as they have teams that have expertise on these items and questions, that would be able to test things in a test environment first to verify they work!
