Hi everyone,

I’m having an issue with ArcGIS Enterprise where the Portal fails to start properly due to the following error:

Failed to start spatiotemporal big data store machine.
Connection timed out while waiting for spatiotemporal big data store machine to become available.

Environment

  • ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal, and Server on separate components, Datastore inside Server)

  • ArcGIS Server is accessible via:

    https://<server-host>:6443/arcgis/admin
  • Data Store service is running

  • Portal service starts but logs the spatiotemporal timeout and retries

    Thank you.

Hey @AnggaraWork

Some quick questions, does the Enterprise environment start at all when this error is presented, can you access your portal information, endpoints, feature layers, etc.

Is the spatiotemporal data store already in use, and do you have existing data being managed within? If not, would it be possible to reinstall the data store onto the server?

Were you doing anything prior the issue occurring?  For example did it happen during/after an upgrade or after a change to the backup strategy/location?  Or seemingly spontaneous?
