I would like to gather some opinions on this.

Can anyone provide any meaningful reasons to do either option.

The desired product would be GIS feature rich, utilize heavy communication to the business oracle DB, and also utilize alot of WCF calls to create PDFs.

Both would utilize SOE's, REST calls for performing spatial requests.

So the question is, what is the advantage/disadvantage to using each approach??

ArcEngine will be a much heavier footprint than a SL thin client.  I would stick with SL to avoid issues:

Thanks for the reply Shane!  I understand the issues with running an ArcEngine App on Citrix, the issue lies in the lack of information of any benefits or issues with running a SL client on Citrix.
