Can I install an enterprise geodatabase on a server that doesn't have ArcGIS Server on it? Right now we have one server with our geodatabase on it along with our AGS site but want to move to a multi-server setup. We want to have an editing geodatabase on one server and a second server with our production geodatabase and our AGS site. Its kind of a nasty point of failure that we are finally fixing.

EDIT: Its an enterprise GDB on SQL now and the other will be as well after the we stand the second server up.

Hi Chris,

Yes, this won't be a problem.  Once both geodatabases are up and running, you could set up geodatabase replication so that the two geodatabases are easily synced.
