Secure stand alone ArcGIS Server

Hello,

One of my customers uses hybrid architecture, with stand alone server connected to DB, and ArcGIS Online as the user interface.

For each ArcGIS Server service, we define ArcGIS Online item, with credentials embedded.

We are looking for better security for ArcGIS server services, and it's users, since now it's only local user and password.

What are our options?

I think when it comes to security best practices, they are best discussed with Esri Professional Services via your Account Manager or your local Esri Distributor if you are outside of US.
