Hello,
I currently have a number of Creator user types in my ArcGIS Enterprise environment, and I’m considering replacing them with Mobile Worker user types. I’d like to confirm whether this change is possible without losing essential functionality.
These users work only in web applications that have already been created and shared with them. Their tasks include:
Creating a point feature in an layer (services) and filling in attribute data
Adding attachments to the feature
Creating a polygon in another layer and saving it
Triggering background processes that calculate statistics based on these features
Using an SOI-based (Server Object Interceptor) territorial assignment / zoning mechanism
They do not:
Create any content in the portal
Create web maps, apps, or groups
Use additional ArcGIS applications or tools beyond the shared apps
Given this workflow, can I switch these users from Creator to Mobile Worker without impacting their ability to create, edit, and save point and polygon features in the web applications?
If your users will not own any items and only need the ability to edit registered or hosted feature layers that have been shared with them then you can move those user types from Creator to Mobile.
