Item Setting not available for Hosted Feature Layer

Hey everyone,

I'm having trouble accessing the Settings tab for an Item, specifically Feature Layers (Hosted), it is just stuck on "Loading...". This only applies to Feature Layers (Hosted), all other formats are working well. I published the item and also an admin on the portal. The account is a built in account, not a SAML account but the behaviour seems to be similar for both types of accounts.

Our setup is:

  • AWS EC2s
  • ArcGIS Enterprise 11.5 fully patched (Portal, ArcGIS Server, Datastores, web adaptors)
  • SAML authentication
  • Federation (server sites validate, data stores validate)

We would like to be able to enable Export data.

If anyone has any ideas, I would be grateful.

Hi @M_O,

Do you get the same behaviour by using an Incognito Window?

Glen

Hi @GlenterpriseUK

Thank you for the reply.

Yes, same in Incognito mode. Regular Feature Layer settings load immediately, but not the hosted kind.

Thanks,

Morten

Hey @M_O,

Does the REST endpoint load correctly or does it have delays as well?

Glen

Hey @GlenterpriseUK

yes, the layer itself loads just fine. I can see the all of the service description and layers and it loads well in the map viewer.

I did more digging and I think it could be related to an expired certificate potentially. The cert installed in the portal is expired, but Im not getting an error in the browser because the cert used to direct the traffic to the servers is still valid.

Hi @M_O,

It might be related, I would attempt to get rid of the expired certificates. When replacing the expired certificate, be sure to clear browsing cache. If that does not help, please reach out to Esri Support for further troubleshooting.

Updating the certificates solved the issue. I'm not sure why it only affected this feature, but everything is looking good now.

That is great to hear @M_O. Thanks for closing the loop on this one
