How to do publish a python script?

I have several python scripts that that work together to perform calculations. Still, I am not sure how you actually publish a python script using service manger? I have created a toolbox to host the script but when I attempt to publish it I get errors about the script not being a sd file. Are python scripts able to become sd files? @

The way I know to do it is to run the process and then create a services from the "result table".  These help topics might help
