I'm trying to create and share a custom Locator inside my Enterprise environment so that my Webmap users only receive address search results from within a specific state.
When creating the Locator using the following URL:
https://geocode-api.arcgis.com/arcgis/rest/services/World/GeocodeServer
I then configure the extent and save the Locator Service successfully. The utility is available in my org under my Geocoding Locators.
When searching for an address whilst zoomed in on the Webmap (Metro Area level), the service returns local results within the bounding box, however when I zoom out to a country level the bounding box appears to be ignored and I receive results from all over the world. I've attached an image below showing two sets of results that appear at 2 different zoom levels by searching with the exact same text.
Any help would be appreciated.
