Hello,

I have a Postgres geodatabase that, for some reason, will not display the manage privileges on a feature dataset (wih a parcel fabric contained within) dialog via ArcCatalog.  It will display with no problem on feature classes/tables outside of the dataset however.  I am connecting with my SDE user with no luck.  Any ideas?

Thanks,

Mike

UPDATE: I was contacted by Esri specialist Sam, who had seen a similar problem with geodatabases containing topologies. He sent great instructions for running some experiments to test his theory. It turned out that the problem was caused by the fact that our GDB had relationship classes inside datasets. Once I moved them out of the datasets and to the top level, the privileges dialog worked. So, in the end I had to used a workaround, but only a minor inconvenience. The GDB looks even more cluttered than before but at least I can easily check and change users.

In response to Jill's post. If you are still encountering this issue, please contact Technical Support. There is a software defect logged to address this behavior.

Thanks,

Ran into the same problem because I had a relationship class inside a dataset was working fine until I gave access to a user to view the dataset then is when the ménage on the dataset stop working. Now I will have to move my relationship classes outside the dataset which will make my database cluttered. I hope they will be able to fix this issue soon.

I had relationship classes in my feature dataset and it was no issue untill I added more layers and the relationship classes for those were outside the dataset.  Once I found this thread and moved all of my relationship classes outside the dataset I was back in business.
