ESRI documentation indicates how do generate SSL certificates via its admin interface. Can i assume there are no issues creating certificates using IIS (assuming you have IIS on each of your GIS servers)?
As i see it, the web adaptor doesn't have the dependency of the AGS generated certs rather its based around your IIS security & hence either a issued or self-sign cert on web-adatpor should work... My experience however is that self-sign are more trouble than they are worth...
thank you for the information. Anyway, in a productive environment the user certainly wants to count on trusted certificates instead of self-signed certificates.
