Add Members from CSV not taking custom Role

I am trying to add a list of AD users in a CSV that is using a custom role ID (ArcGIS Entperprise 10.8.1). It is a Viewer user type and a custom viewer role. I am able to select this role manually for a Viewer.

When I add the users using a CSV file with the custom role ID in the file, it defaults to the Viewer role.

Using the custom role ID in the CSV should add the user with the custom role instead of the default Esri Viewer role.

I just successfully added the user with the custom role using the custom role name and not the custom role ID.
