Hi Everyone!
Quick question on WebGIS DR Restore.
Will a restore be successful if the ArcGIS Data Store content directory has been moved to a different location? Installation location will remain the same.
I have relate, tile, and spatiotemporal data stores.
Alternative would be to backup, reinstall & restoredatastore.
Thanks,
Dean

Hi @DeanMoiler,
The datastore's content/data directory does not need to be in the same location for a WebGISDR restore. See the table in this document for more information - Must this item or setting be identical across deployments when running the WebGISDR utility?

Hi @TimoT,
Thanks for confirming, that's exactly what I would have hoped given it's more of a back end component that can be disconnected and restored to different locations. I had seen the table, but found it a little vague, given arcgis data stores are combined with registered data stores. I'm guessing it's safe to assume that the following reads No No No for all flavours of AGS DS. Thanks!
Hi @DeanMoiler,
I agree that the table is vague in many areas and doesn't explicitly mention ArcGIS datastores.
The 11.4 version of the document does explicitly state that registered ArcGIS datastores must be the same in the target environment, noting that certain types aren't included in WebGISDR backups (e.g. spatiotemporal, graph)
So really, the table could be revised to add the following:
