Quite often users find themselves needing to stop a service to make certain changes. When you go to overwrite the service in ArcGIS Pro you need to restart the service first or Pro will give you an error message.
My idea(s)
Instead of resulting in an error message and halting the process, give a warning that the service is not running and have a prompt to start it.
Or when you go to overwrite. Instead of showing it as a service have it grayed out.
