Please look to allow longer usernames in the Enterprise Geodatabase. In Feb - Aug 2025 we had a problem where a user with a hyphen in their name could not connect to an enterprise geodatabase via ArcGIS Pro using operating system authentication. It turns out, hyphens are fine but quotes are added around it, which lengthens the name. Esri support found there is a 31-character limit for usernames (which can vary a little bit but is a general constraint).
Allowing longer usernames will ensure that any users can access the DB via Pro using o-auth. While hyphens are not a problem, they are often associated with longer names, and this constraint has one effect to block some of those uses with hyphens from accessing the DB which is an inclusion/accessibility issue. It would also save the 'next' people from the 50 or so hours it took to find this issue across our organization and Esri support.
