Organizations adopting open geospatial standards need a modern, standards-based way to manage and deliver cartographic styles across platforms. Adding support for OGC API – Styles in ArcGIS Enterprise would strengthen interoperability and help position solutions from Esri as truly open, standards-aligned geospatial systems aligned with modern APIs from the Open Geospatial Consortium.
ArcGIS Enterprise currently provides strong styling capabilities through Web Map / Web Scene specifications, Vector tile styles, Layer rendering definitions
However, there is no native support for exposing or consuming styles using OGC API – Styles, which is emerging as the modern, RESTful replacement for legacy styling standards such as SLD/SE.
