I can't seem to find a way to filter for empty strings through the Portal map viewer. We have empty string values within some text fields and are unable to filter these.
An empty string value is different than a NULL value, which can be filtered using the "is blank" expression in the map viewer.
FYI --- we are using ArcGIS Enterprise 10.7.1
