This technical article is for GIS managers and analysts who want an understanding of the fundamental concepts of ArcGIS for Server and its capabilities. It provides a general overview of ArcGIS for Server and discusses key features, architecture, and implementation. It refers specifically to the ArcGIS 10.1 for Server release.
I really like this document, are there any plans on updating or releasing a similar article regarding ArcGIS 11.X for server? I realize there are a lot of similarities but quite a bit has changed too. As a GIS Specialist that was initially hired for updating parcels then managed the migration from stand-alone to Enterprise Server, server upgrades and patches and now managing GIS for several departments including web application development and maintenance, there is still A LOT I do not know or understand.
I like a "simple" document that can break things down to the basics. I say "simple" because it's easy to understand and comprehend. I will not deny there are a lot of great resources and documents... but that's and easy way to fall into the rabbit hole. Maybe one already exists and I haven't found it yet. @DerekLaw

Not to my knowledge. I don't work on the ArcGIS Enterprise team, so I can't say for sure, but I don't think there are plans to provide an article similar to what I wrote.

FYI, a couple of other articles I wrote that are similar in style,
Hope this helps,
