Opening/Closing menus and tools

Some menus/tools can be closed by simply clicking on the button : 

• Table of Contents
• Basemap and Terrain
• etc.

But some other menus/tools cannot :

• Settings
• About
• etc.

Draw and Notifications are special cases. They can be closed with the button, but there is a really small sweet spot where you have to click to succeed :

It would be nice if every menu/tool could be closed easily by clicking on the button again.

Thanks for the inquiry and sharing the concern.

Yes, we'll improve on the user experience of the Notification and Draw tools in the following releases. It's important and helpful to keep the interactive experience consistent and easier. 

Typically, if the button supports both toggle on and off,  the button can be activated with blue background. Currently the Notification or Draw button are not granted the activated status. 

For example the 3 buttons marked as following:

Anyway,  we'll enhance on it for better experience and will keep you updated.
