I no longer have My Drawings. I cannot add points, lines or polygons. There is a orange triangle with a exclamation point next to the blue folder. How do I get this function back? I have uninstalled ARCGIS Earth and reinstalled, but the results are the same.
Hi @timothyCallahan2 ,
Thank you for using ArcGIS Earth, and we’re sorry to hear that you are encountering this issue. We will continue working to improve the logic around this functionality to make it more robust.
Based on the information you provided (the orange triangle with an exclamation mark next to the blue folder and the inability to add drawings), it is likely that the My Drawings KMZ file has become corrupted.
You can try the following steps to resolve the issue:
Locate your workspace folder. The workspace location can be checked in Settings within ArcGIS Earth.
Navigate to the following path inside the workspace:
data\my_drawings.kmz
Delete the my_drawings.kmz file.
Restart ArcGIS Earth.
After restarting, ArcGIS Earth should automatically recreate the My Drawings file, which may restore the drawing functionality.
If the issue still persists, you can export your workspace and send it to us so that we can perform further diagnosis.
Thanks.
Lexie,
Thank you for you assistance with this matter. Initially, your recommendation was not working but I finally did manage to Delete the my_drawings.kmz file, restart and restore the drawings functionality. Thanks agian.
