ArcGIS Desktop Background Geoprocessing (64-bit) Patch/Update problem

I am trying to update my background geoprocessing to 64-bit for ArcGIS Desktop 10.2.2, but none of the patches seem to work. I have downloaded all of the patches found here and installed all except for the 64-bit ones due to an error being thrown. After talking to some colleagues, I was told to contact our license manager. He pointed me to this patch​ which still throws an error. What am I missing?

Have you installed ArcGIS for Desktop Background Geoprocessing (64-bit) which can be downloaded from https://my.esri.com/#/downloads/ArcGIS%20for%20Desktop/10.2.2

The patches you refer to can only be installed on top of a core product. If the core product which the patch updates has not been installed you will receive an error.
