I am having an issue trying to find a work around currently for this workflow in any software! It seems like im going to have to develop a custom tool to compare my schemas..... Does anyone else have a suggestion?

The LRS data is becoming an issue.

Hi,

Could you share some details (ArcMap version, geodatabase type) on the errors you highlighted above?

This was ArcMap 10.8 and within one of our enterprise GDBs. I could not perform these functions in our version of ArcGIS Pro 2.6.8 (as the schema compare tool does not exist). So I tried to use ArcMap but we have an LRS/APR enabled dataset w/in this DB.

Thanks-much for the feedback.

There could be a number of reasons behind the error (we were unable to reproduce this error using an in-house EGDB containing an LRS network). I would suggest contacting Esri technical support if you would like to start an incident to identify the cause.

Thanks!

Hello,

Could you provide more context on the nature of the LRS Database? Is it a branch versioning database? Is it SQL/Oracle? Do you have any attribute rules applied?

I am unable to repro the issue you illustrate above using the GDB schema compare in 10.8 against an enterprise LRS in PostgreSQL.

Thank you

It is traditional versioning, a SQL Server database and there are a few attribute rules through out the datasets.

I can only guess the attribute rules (calculation?) are applied on un-versioned features. I can confirm Features to Compare works on branch version LRS datasets with attribute rules, I though this could be source of the issue but it isn't. This could be LRS data specific but with my DOT samples at hand I am unable to repro the issue.

A team at ESRI used the 'Geodatabase Schema Compare' Geoproccesing tool that is within the Data Reviewer toolbox with two separate EGDBs that had an LRS enabled dataset with data in the LRS network? All within ArcMap 10.8? in a traditional versioning architecture?

I will put in a ticket with ESRI through my org for this.

How did you use LRS data within ArcMap? Was this with all "in-the-box tools" that we can use too? I've tried to use geoproc tools on LRS datasets w/in ArcMap/Catalog and i can not get the processes to work, usually due to an error similar to the one called out above 'Locationrefercingdatasetmembership'. I cannot even reset spatial extents of datasets that have an LRS network enabled.

We were explicitly told that any dataset that has an LRS enabled network would be unusable w/in ArcMap/Catalog both for viewing and geoprocessing tools. It could be due to our reliance on traditional versioning.

However...is there another workflow or tool that ESRI recommends to compare Schema of EGDBs in ArcGIS Pro?
