Do to editors at our organization editing a utility network there have been Water/Sewer/Gas mains splits without a feature at that location. I can find those errors within a topology but I want to integrate this check into Data reviewer.

Mains connect usually either through a valve or a Fitting such as a Tee.  I want run a Composite check to satisfy both features. However when I run the Composite Check  it overlooks the main because one end satisifies one of the rules but not both ends.

How can I properly configure my Data Reviewer rules to find these splits in the main. Thanks again for your help GIS community.

Jonah,

Your best bet is to use the Valency check using the generic junctions feature class, which is created when you build your geometric network. A generic junction is created when there is a split in the line and no other junction (valve, fitting, hydrant, meter, etc) exists there.

The Valency Check is in the Advanced Check category.

Feature Class 1 = WaterDistribution_Net_Junctions
Feature Class 2 = wMain
Valency Operation = = (equal to)
Equal to = 2

Good Luck!
