Serial chart > Date format on category access

Hi there Dashboarders,

I'm working with a serial chart and would like the date to show as 9 Sep rather than Sep 9.

When I go to Category axis>Period format it looks like I have it set up in the 9 Sep format. Why does it not show like this? It looks like it is defaulting to North American dates.

Am I looking in the wrong area?
