"Unable to execute Arcade script" -- Exept it still works!

Here's a confusing thing. I have a Data Expression that tests fine, returns the expected FeatureSet, and, as far as I can tell, works just fine.

But when I bring the dataset into a Table widget, I see this:

Every row gives me an error icon and red highlight, but the data is all there. The data table shows everything exactly as I expect it.

I've modified the expression all kinds of different ways, even limiting the returned FeatureSet to only the objectID and performing no modifications on the features.

It's probably got something to do with the input data, but has anyone else seen this kind of behavior?
