Creating Dashboards with non-selectable layers or features

Hello!

I'm working on creating multiple dashboards that will highlight different features based on an attribute (Use Type). I have a dataset with Restrooms, Offices, Concessions, and a few other Use Types. It is assumed that this dataset will be updated in the future, so I want to keep that in mind.

Is there a way that I can use the same dataset that contains all of the Use Types and then have the ability to have certain features be selectable?

Has anyone come up with a possible solution?

Thanks!

The answer is pretty much always "it depends".

For your question, are you referring to features / layers being selectable in the map? Or in a dashboard widget? Or both? If you're making multiple dashboards, could you simply use multiple maps and omit the layers / features you don't want selected?
