This is a high level question and may be too general to respond to but I'll try.
I have a dashboard with four category selectors. Each selector has a zoom option.
If you select from the first selector and zoom in, then select from the second selector, you will zoom in again. This is good.
But, if you hit 'reset' on the second selector, you get zoomed back to the full extent. The first selector is still selected.
Is there a way to control this? Like 'tell' the dashboard to respect existing selection-based extents?
Also (similar but slightly different), is it possible to prevent 'bounceback.' If I zoom to something based on a selection-action, then deselect (many reasons for wanting to do this), I don't want to get thrown to the full map extent. I'd like to stay were I am. I get that a new selection will zoom me to selected features, but I don't want my map extent to change when I deselect. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?
Thank you,
Randy McGregor
To my knowledge, there is no way to turn off the "bounceback" in dashboards with selectors, or in ExB with filters. However, in ExB, you can turn off the "bounceback" when selecting individual features (i.e. Search widget). This might be a good post for the Ideas forum.
Thank you. I don't get notifications when someone responds, so I sometimes miss them. This looks promising. I'll look into it.
