Browser Refresh Problem?

I updated OD on my computer and published a new Operations View with a new Web Map populated with a Map Service.  I have set the OD program to refresh the dynamic Map Service every 5 seconds.  This refresh works in the actual program, but does not work at all when using the Browser version of the OD.  So far, I have tried IE 10 and Chrome.  Is this a known issue?

Map services are not supported as data sources in the browser (see Supported data types).

However, if you are just trying to get the data to refresh on the map, you can do that. You need to set a refresh interval on the map service layer in the map when authoring the map, and then in Dashboard set the refresh type to use the layer intervals (not to use a single interval).

My original rush to make this work was to be able to use labeling from the map service within OD...

So even within the OD Application (Windows), you cannot do labeling AND selections, filtering and the like...?

Back to the drawing board.
