Before the June update to Dashboard, there was an option to show how long it had been since the last time the widget had automatically refreshed. Now that option is no longer available to enable and the text has been removed from all the widgets. This is creating issues for us because we have dashboards that are used for communicating emergency information to the public. Without the ability to show the last update information on the control, the public is now questioning when was the last time this data was refreshed on the dashboard, creating confusion.
I can find no announcement that this feature was to be removed. Please re-enable it to improve clarity of communication with users as to the timeliness of the data that they are being presented with.
I agree, we had the "last update" checked on for several lists, and now they are gone. Please add it back ESRI.
It's important to know that a dashboard's widgets are polling the underlying data. How widgets are configured is up to the developer but knowing a widget is "connected" and polling regularly emphasizes the data-driven nature of dashboards and informs the user that they are displaying data in near-real time. I agree with the request to re-enable or introduce something similar!
