Our enterprise (and other large enterprises around the world) is upgrading to Windows 10 LTSB, which is not compatible with Windows Store. Will a LOB version of Collector for Windows be made available?

Hello Mark,
No, currently Esri is not providing customers with a standalone executable (.EXE) or MSI Installer for Collector for ArcGIS for Windows 10 devices. For customers asking about support outside the Windows 10 Store, Microsoft offers a mechanism through the Windows Store for Business whereby IT departments can get the binaries and deploy them using their own methods (MDMs, etc.), without the client machines having access to the Windows Store.
The request for Collector for ArcGIS for Windows 10 device standalone executable (.EXE) or MSI Installer has been logged as ENH-000095353. Please contact Esri Support and submit a Support Case asking to be attached to ENH-000095353; please include how your organization currently deploys Windows apps to devices (particularly Windows Store apps if you are already deploying them). Are you using a deployment tool, MDM, etc.? If so, which ones?
Collector Team has successfully configured Windows Store for Business and Azure to deploy our ArcGIS Apps (including Collector for ArcGIS) to Windows 10 machines. However, Esri Support doesn't provide support for Windows Store for Business nor do we support workflows related to specific MDM, SCCMs or other Windows 10 Apps deployment methods.

Can ESRI please change this process?
If Collector for ArcGIS is available on Windows 10, it needs to work like other ESRI software (ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Pro) on Windows 10.
The Windows Store is not currently allowed so we need a better deployment workflow than re-configuring IT infrastructure.

Hi Denise dking-esristaff
We have successfully connected SCCM with Windows Store for Business, downloaded and installed Collector for Windows.. But, how will an update/upgrade process of Collector be handled through such solution? Will Collector handle a upgrade/update process its selves, or do we need to script an uninstall/install process. - ( I guess offline maps and basemaps will disapear if uninstall/install is needed..)
Best regards

Hi Morten-
The upgrade process will be handled in the same manner as the installation (in your case through SCCM deployment). No uninstall should be required. I would not perform an uninstall step as this will remove any signed in accounts and local data they already have on the device.

Hi Morten, Please refer to Microsoft SCCM documentation implemented by the customer. Esri Support doesn't support SCCM, MDM or other device management system solutions. I can only speak to updating existing Collector for ArcGIS app installs from the various App Stores. Offline maps and basemaps shouldn't be removed when updating Collector app. If you are encountering this behavior, please log support case with Esri Support to investigate this behavior.
Denise
Hi and thx Denise and Doug for your answers.
This confirm my thinking of the Colloctor upgrade process and the behavior of the Collector app. Thx. It how the Collector app is build that determant the upgrade process.
