Is it possible to preview web scene files in an offline mode.

Lets say that i would like to present a CE project using web scene but dont have an internet acces.

In reality when youre done workin with something you would like to pack it on a memory stick, tablet or a laptop and dont have to think if youre going to be able to get WiFi when you get there. Every computer has some kind of an internet browser so that is not the issue, the only issue is that i have to log in to ArcGIS online before i open some of my sceenes, or do i?

Hi Matt

Thanks for the info, yes i am aware of that and if i run the file from CE its all fine but lets say that i have copyed the file on a machine which doesnt have CE instaled, can i still run it somehow? If i just try to open it in google chrome it doesnt open the web scene viewer, or is there a special way i should open it?

Here is a link to a white paper about exporting the web scenes. In there, there is a section called "Viewing the 3WS locally". I think this is what you are after.

Hi ..

easier:

Just open this link (open an empty CE WebWiewer): http://www.arcgis.com/apps/CEWebViewer/viewer.html?3dWebScene

then drag and drop any 3ws file into the rectangle.

ok ?
