Save as .udatasmith
Import UE4 with datasmith plug-ins
There are only two folders:Geometries and Textures
There is no material on the model
How to solve this problem?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
Hi Nico.
Thanks for reaching out.
Could you open the "Output Log" in Unreal (Window → Developer Tools → Output Log) after importing the Datasmith file and check if you see any related error messages?
If you don't find anything, could you send me a zip file of the Datasmith file and asset folder (building.udatasmith and building_Assets) so I can investigate further?
Best,
Benjamin
Hi Benjamin
Thans for your reply
This is the Output Log, so many error messages
and I still don't know how to solve it
Do you have any idears?
And can you tell me your email adress ,I send the zip file to you
Looking forward to your reply

I found this document just now
I do not really understand the CGA , I used the default CGA
if I need to change something about it, maybe I should learn the CGA from the beginning
But I'm only a designer,not programer.It's too difficult for me ,ha-ha
That start rule really should not be the problem. It's only doing basic texturing rules and none of the new PBR materials creation. In that case, it just creates some simple base materials from your textures. But your materials folder is completely missing. Could you screen capture your export settings from CityEngine to Unreal Engine?
I set this follow the tutorial
