Microsoft will open Windows 8 Marketplace this February.

I'd like to try developing ArcGIS Metro application with WinRT.
Are there any plan you provide WinRT (C#,VB,HTML5) SDK in near future ?

When Windows Phone 7 released , you'd provided SDK at very early timing 🙂

We don't even have a beta of Windows 8 yet! 🙂
So in other words we have nothing to announce at this point, and no promises when or even if this would be released. It's simply just way too early and frankly I don't think anyone knows (the dev preview is too buggy to do any serious work with anyhow).

Since Windows 8 metro apps can also be built with HTML and JavaScript, you can already do this today. There are some minor issues with touch support, but as IE10 matures, the JS API will also add support for touch.

Thank you for your replying.
I think it is still too early to deliver SDK in public.
I guess there might be many issues around the alpha OS.

Compared with Windows Phone 7, Windows 8 is far important, so I guess ESRI will offer SDK earlier than Windows Phone 7 SDK (2 month before of RTM of OS itself).
ESRI already seems to work with Microsoft about Windows 8 map application :

I hope ESRI take an initiative in Windows 8 (WinRT) GIS development again.
(I am not good at JS programming 🙂 )

Just a (very) small update on this. A WinRT prototype was shown at the dev summit last week: http://videoembed.esri.com/iframe/1067/000000/width/960/0/mp4:arcstream/2012/03/1067-devsummit-part-... (48 mins in)

Does anyone know if there is an open ArcGIS Runtime SDK for WinRT Beta program coming soon?
