I know that VS2010 is needed to work with ESRI SL 2.0 API. I also know that only VS2008 is needed for ArcGIS mobile development and the Web ADF development can use either VS2010 or VS008. In addition Microsoft has stated that you can install both VS side-by-side.
From an ESRI view can I install VS2010, VS2008, SL 2.0 API, ArcGIS mobile and the Web ADF SDK on the same machine??? Issues? problems? gotchas?
I can't speak to the AcrGIS mobile, but I have all the other things you asked about in your post, and they all play nicely on my computer, along with two other versions of Visual Studio, plus Expression Blend 3 and 4.
