hi all, I'm just getting started with this and I have a very basic question.  The documentation states you should install both of these products (visual studio and expression blend) to develop applications.  But the examples suggest you develop in one or the other.  So do you actually need to have both of them installed and working in concert in some way? or are they both totally independent of each other and it's just a matter of preference which you use? If the latter, what are the advantages/disadvantages of each?  Thanks much

You need to install one OR  the other product. But note that with VS2010 you need Expression Blend SDK which is free.
