Server-side Clustering

Is there a way to do server side clustering in ArcMap and actually have that published out to ArcGIS Server.  The benefits of clustering from a cartographic representation perspective have been recognized, but you have to download all of the points from the feature service.  What if you have 100,000 points and want to use a dynamic map feature service?  It would be beneficial to cluster them on the server where the image is being created and then have the image pushed down.

Yes, you would lose information about the things being clustered, but for some applications all that needs to be shown to the user is the count or sum in a circle on the map so they can see the distribution.  Many people don't need to see the actual attributes of what was clustered.

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
