Remove crosshair in map frame

We are using the ArcGIS API for Silverlight template and there is a crosshair in the middle of the map application window that I cannot figure out how to remove (see attached example).  Can anyone help me with this issue?

Which specific silverlight template is this you are referring to?
Did you try to open MainPage.Xaml in the designer or blend, and simply clicking the cross-hair to select it?

That did it!  There were two items in the MainPage.Xaml that we REM'ed out and the crosshair was removed.  Thank you for taking the time to help.  We really appreciate it.  By the way, I enjoyed seeing you at the Dev Summit and hearing about some of the great work that you and others are doing.
