Print Example Issues

I'm attempting to use the Print tool from this example and am having multiple issues:
http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=e361c2cc69784fcba34358d0458f66e3

1. Even though I've set the MapUnits to Feet, it prints NaN Kilometers on the map.  Does anyone know how to fix this?
2. If I print this to one printer (color), I get a blank page or just the background gradient, but if I print the same exact map to a different printer (which is black and white), I get a map on the page. The printed page, however, has a gradient background which makes the map hard to see.  How can I turn the gradient off as I suspect it is making the size of the image too large for some printers?
3. Sometimes when I click the print button, the print busy indicator comes up as expected, but when it finishes, the page does not print.  Has anyone else seen this?

Thanks for any help!

I used the sample long time ago,  I went inside  the control source code, made a little change, it  really worked for me.

I'm glad it is working for others.  Hopefully, if I can get these issues resolved, I'll feel the same way.  So far, looking in the code has not helped.  I've commented out gradients that I see, but I still get that purple gradient background.
