layer selection

This looks like a simple question

Someone prepares and publish a ArcGISDynamicMapServiceLayer in ArcMap and decides to unselect some layers. When I read this map package in my ArcGis runtime component, all the layers are selected in my table of content. The layer selection done previously is not kept.

Is there a way to keep this layer selection done in the Map package.

You might need to prepare a portable project. Look attached pdf file for help.

I already have built the map in a map package that contains all the data. The map package should contain the information about what layer are selected or not.

Agreed to your point. Did you considered the portability parameters (options to check-uncheck while preparing package). As maintaining the layer selection while putting on your website can persist when portability is checked. Hope it helps.
