Zend AMF in Flash Builder 4

Has anyone used Zend AMF in Flash Builder 4?  I have it returning data, but I am getting slower response times than when I return XML data.  Its seems to take 1.5s to 2.0s even if it returns 0 records or if it returns 1000 records.  I haven't seen any examples online using IIS, could that by the issue?

No experience with Zend AMF, but using PHP scripts with AMFPHP works pretty well for us in grabbing data from an Oracle DB directly.

Thanks.  I tried using AMFPHP once, but never could get it to work on our server.  I'd like to get Zend working correctly, since its now part of the data centric features of Flash Builder 4.  I've posted on the Adobe forums, but they are never too helpful.
