Suppress FlexViewer Popups

Hi Forum,

I was wondering if there was a way to suppress the layer popups temporarily in Fleviewer 2.3.1.  I have a mapservice that is configured to utilize popups on a polygon sublayer.  But I also have a custom widget that interacts with the map.  What happens is that when I activate my custom widget tool every click on the map is both triggering the layer popup and my custom code.  What I want to be able to do is stop the map from firing the popup events while my custom tool is active.

Does anyone have a solution for this?

I'm also having this issue but not using custom code:  If I try to draw a point using esri's Draw widget or anything else that requires me to click, the tool works, but the popup will appear.

Would like to have the popups suppressed any time these drawing-required tool widgets are in use...

Starting with API 2.4, you can set this to false:

Bit of a new guy here, but what file do I make that change in....  I cant seem to figure that part out...
